beyond.com has the most extreme commercials... second only to outpost.com I guess. Theres this guy in his living room working from a home office and hes nude, he says he couldn't get into the water cooler, back biting etc. and now he can download software from beyond.com so he doesn't have to leave his house. He goes in the backyard and grills a chicken and gets a pizza delivery etc., all the neighbors think hes a wierdo.

Another one is buy.com I think, which has the knockoff of the 50s outer limits with a crab-like creature attacking a bunch of scientific guys in a lab.

Amazon seems to have a different approach where they are going for the masses instead of trying to be clever... there is some merit in that approach I would say, I just think they could create something a little more memorable.

I see all of these because I'm in silicon valley.
