Dear MSR, with that poem You passed That Gift Of Wakefulness like a Torch on the pinnacle of Mount Olympus. It'll last longer for you... having gone through such an experience firsthand...but probably not sleeping too many hours tonight will give me a jumpstart. The unforgettable mystery in your poem is Which of the several possible burdens of that brink is the poem speaking of? So then, compelled to view the moment from all sides, a perspective change occured bringing back thoughts and conversations at another place and time with dear ones never to be seen again in this lifetime - who also passed me a Torch with things they said. Walked A Mile In Your Shoes in the 10 stanzas, MSR...'twas good having my verklempt equipment within reach while reading your poignant powerful words about What You've Been Through. Looks like maybe it's going to be One Of Those Nights.
909 The Gift,
Joan
