W.B. I repeat (from earlier this week) that we should be in for a good month here (until meeting)..Bears are trying everything (false rumors, etc.) to jack up the bond....overreaction in bond market to large corporate float...after Fed raises 1/4 pt. and takes off bias next week...we should have 3 weeks of nothing but good earnings (and lower rates) to look at....sideline money should flow in...big caps techs should benefit... Catepillar (sp?,), International Paper can surge only so long....Back to reality... A lot of my buddies are heavy cash (if that means anything)..my hunch is a lot is on the sidelines...or at least a significant amount...next Wednesday, its back to work... Dollar looking terrific (strong)...Next Japanese econ. numbers (next quarter) are going to be weak (gv. fudged them for the upcoming election)...Latin markets struggling last 6 weeks....Worldwide trends still speak for U.S. market... IMO, the next biggest sticking pt. will be in July during earnings...what will the big boys (techs) say about Y2K? A couple big warnings could do damage (to all), but until then, should be good sailing...I would expect Dell can get into the low 40's over the next month...although 43/44 will provide heavy resistance until earnings... See you at the meeting...
