The difference with LTCM was that its problems were in the fixed income area. There are no reporting requirements for debt. What's more, LTCM didn't even disclose positions to its limited partners. [Side note: Of the 100's of hedge funds I've checked out over the years, only 2 refused to disclose their positions to me: LTCM and Ivan Boesky. It's reinforced my opinion that if someone tells you that their secrets are so good they can't tell anybody, there's something wrong going on, and you should avoid those people like the plague.] By the way, do you have an easy URL to look at these 13F? I get my information from Bloomberg, sorry. I'm pretty sure that EDGAR has that information, but because I get all the info from EDGAR off Bloomberg, I don't know the URL. I'm sure that someone else on the thread knows that URL.
