KIS -- AMD was born to disappoint -- I owned it for a day last week and then gave myself a slap and sold it. Better to short intel than buy AMD.

You know, re AMD, I'm a little puzzled by INTC's strength: It's been downgraded by 3 respected firms in the last week, and they can't kill it. With CPQ soft, AMD warning, is there anything to these concerns?

Also, somebody mind explaining the semiequipment guys to me (AMAT, KLAC, NVLS, etc). They've all rallied 20 points in the last two weeks to near highs, and yet their customers seem soft. What gives?

While I'm rambling, how about RMBS? flat revenues, warning of delayed adaptation of their standard, potential endrun by INTC to something else, and even optimistic royalty forecasts place it's valuation in the Amazonian realm, and it'a mule. Up 100% in two months to near it's year high) (could it be the six million short shares?)

Alright fair enough... to tell you the truth I didn't think even you could be that irrational... I don't like the entire boxmaker/cpu sector... mu came in -.10 today expectations -.01.

The semi equipment makers... I have no idea whats going on there except someone here pointed out it could be the demand in chips for the comm area (wireless etc.) are exploding thus leading to an increase in Amat orders... I don't know... but it sure isn't PC demand
