It may be a watershed announcement for AMD but will they ever make any money? They just announced an expected huge loss forthe current quarter. stock is still halted.

Don't think AMD K7 will have RDRAM for a while. If AMD is licensing it's system bus (EV6 @ 200 mHz) from Compaq, K7 will follow Alpha chip bus structure. I have heard directly from API (Alpha chip consortium) that PC133,DDR then RDRAM is it's memory bus roadmap. So don't look for AMD to support RDRAM any time soon. They have tough enough time staying somewhat unprofitable rather then very unprofitable. They can't affords to play around with RDRAM development if Intel is throwing billions at it and hasn't brought it market on time.

Rose colored glasses clearing up now; unloading my trading shares tomorrow morning. PCEXPO bounce didn't materialize. Next rocketship move not until Sept when Playstation II or Intel shipping dates materialize. Don't think downward leg will be too severe. In late Feb, we got full 3 month cold shower top of 4 month forward release date. In early June, we got 1 month delay on top of 3 month forward release date. Any additional delays don't change picture, just Y2000 RMBS earnings. How that affects RMBS stock price, I do not know quantitatively. Qualitatively, we are going down somewhat.
