I agree in many respects that the quality of education, and let me add it, of military training, of those who are to carry out the politically installed mission is a crucial point in this debate.
But I would like to add that the lack of consciousness for a human rights/peacekeeping mission sometimes shown by soldiers is not only a personal failure of single persons who happen to be soldiers.
In my view the political gesture of democratic world leaders have dramatically decayed to hollow, hypocritic claiming to be the white knights. This hypocrisy may add to a wrong understanding of the soldiers on their own role.
I want to throw in again, with a critical tone to my voice, the word "angelic figure" with respect to some politicians' claim on themselves.
