Caxton,

With the increased revenue from royalties helping the cash situation, I think Qualcomm should be able to do both (ASICs and handsets). Also a low margin business in of itself is not bad. A low margin business can produce high returns on capital if the product turns over at a high rate. Many large successful companies have three, four, five and more major divisions. I think it is good to spread out one's activity and not get too concentrated in one area.
