Ish, sounds as if you are one of those believers who chose to believe what they want, rather than what their Churches officially believe.

I respect that, although I can't do that myself. For me, being a member of a particular Church means I accept the articles of its faith. As an ex-Catholic, I used to be surprised that still-Catholics of my acquaintance continued to consider themselves within the fold, even though they were committing all sorts of Mortal Sins (e.g., missing church on Sunday, practicing birth control). If they really believed the tenets of the Church, weren't they afraid of going to Hell? Turned out that they did not believe all those tenets, but they did like the services, the sense of being in a religious community. They had no problem placing their own judgment above the Pope's, and no fear of frying for all eternity...

Let's hear it for common sense! <gg>
