I found their rates. what is a CPM? is that clicks per minute? or what?

if its by the minute its rather pricey.

Anyone know what a CPM is?

in regards to that page what does it mean that SI is sponsored by Datek ?? Sponsored to me evokes images of free soda and pizza. When I go to a conference they'll say something like Numega is sponsoring this evening's activities (food, etc....)

Any one know what they mean by sponsor here?

Do we get a benefit?

This is scary, the way they are actively marketing SI. I know The Founders appreciate us. But to G2N, are we anything more than just pieces of meat they can sell to advertisers?

After visiting that site, can anybody doubt that the Datek ad is only the beginning?

Of the end.

That is for the go2net portal site Gary, which provides access to playsite, stocksite and other properties gnet has acquired. SI members don't access SI the same way and we don't see the ads. However the "Coffee Shop" members that are not paying subscribers do see the ads. Some people actually prefer the go2net interface vs. the SI interface. Also you can set up a stockwatch list similar to SI and that also says "sponsored by Datek" but it sure isn't as bad as yahoo with all their flashing banners.
