kis

1) people can change their mind and strategy...but i've always been bearish on amzn...what did i accomplish, i could have cleaned up being long
2) >what i don't think you understand is that people who have lost $, tend to believe
>any silly story to get their $ back

kis, its your silly story that concerns me, the mommy of all crashes, the i'm gonna short this pos to 20, or zero or whatever attitude...i believe that in suggesting others buy puts, you are presenting the silly story to others, as you understand what they are up against, the momentum, the volatility, the primos on the options...surely you can also see what being wrong by shorting can do...

yep, its your silly story that worries me...

btw, i try to keep MY overall finances on the QT if you get my drift
why do you want to tell us all (who you don't even KNOW) your are richie rich >?

Seeing Glenn post lengthy and precise essays on why Amazon was a scam headed for
bankruptcy, then a few days ago see him literally licking William's virtual feet after
"converting" to Amazonity, made it quite clear that many people's convictions are based
solely on what is making them money at the time, rather than any semblence of
fundamental reality.

KIS,

There is a huge difference between you and me. There are two differences that are the largest

1 I do homework for fundamental analysis and make conclusions based on what I find.

2. I am a man of my word. I do not exaggerate nor lie nor have any other motive here but to learn and also be entertained.

Amazon fundamentally from the beginning was a scam or at least appeared to be a scam. The "business plan" as presented made no sense and it was impossible to ever turn a profit using that model. The model mutated often but profitability was still impossible. The final mutation was the large number of distribution centers leased and acquired under the guise of faster delivery of books, music and video. Initially, I expected Amazon to put in place possible for center of moderate size. This would have made profitability even more impossible. Actually, ten distribution centers of large size are being put in place in 1999. This cannot possibly be for Books, music and videos. Way too much space was leased. Then a variety of much higher margin products leaked out through SEC filings that leads me to believe that Amazon plans to be a distributor or large and small products many of which are heavy. Shipping costs are a large factor in these products.

You seem to miss which came first in your comment that was some form insult. I did not change my type of posting because I was long. Meaning I did not become bullish on AMZN in my posts due to being long the stock. I went long the stock due to my changed opinion on the firm. Therefore, I post bullish comments since I believ in the company. These comments are not as in as much detail as the bearish comments had been. I had the detail on which to focus. They were the selling of books, videos and music and profitability was impossible. I do not know all the large and heavier products Amazon will distribute. I suspect major appliances as one but I have already discussed that. Others have not yet been announced. Even major appliances have not been announced. You need to understand I post what I truly believe. I have no belief that my posts will in any way affect the price of the stock.

It was clear that I was bearing on Amazon last year. I stayed short because I wished to prove I was correct. I stayed short far longer than any rational person would do. I was obsessed and also determined. If that is not a strong belief, I do not know what else is. I have offered to fax to you my confirmations of my shorts and my covers to show my losses. I did that as I said for a newspaper for confirmation.

The other issue is integrity. I made a bet with William that if I found myself to be incorrect, I would apologize. Therefore, I apologized.

I believe William will tell you I have never licked his feet. Interesting comment from a person that is not willing to back up a multimillion dollar claim. Both on this thread (in public) and in private I have in the past insulted or disagreed with William. I only insulted when I believe William started it LOL. In any case, I read some of William's stock picks. I do not agree with them all and there are many I am in that I am sure William would not like.

Your final statement about virtual feet. That is interesting too. I have never spoken with William on a phone. Meaning a real live voice. I am not sure why we have not talked maybe no need. I never asked him to call or vice versa. On the other hand, there are more than a dozen people active on this thread with which I have had real voice conversations. We have not met in person but have talked and with many, numerous times. That makes it no longer virtual does it not?

Let's terminate these insults. I will drop the fact I am of the belief that you lied regarding the number of put contracts you bought. You, on the other hand, should focus on a decent footing with others on this thread. There are some very good and very bright people here. Use their knowledge a bit.
