hypothesis: sell handset div, buy later handheld PC
firm like 3Com

wasnt 3Com reported in play last month, with Ericy a
suitor?... Gilder pounds chest that by y2005 QCOM will
become #1 or #2 worldwide PC mfr

so Siemens becomes loyal customer of CDMA chips,
gauranteeing levels of purchase, and offers some serious
German tech savvy (perhaps best of Europe), and lays the
carpet for theQ to develop BMW wireless map dashboard
devices

shift from low margin handsets to high margin feature-filled
telecomPC's, as I like to call them... with system
software foundation laid, big big potential for the crown
jewel handheld PC new division... news of any smart 3COM
purchase (or carved focused division)... automobile
devices would just be caviar on the cake

if this sale/purchase happens, I see the lean and newly
focused chip (or chip/telecomPC) company trading at $250
really soon on sheer anticipation of the inevitable

MikeP, you are coy as hell
I would hate to play you at poker
