Aw, waaaaitaminute, teevee - i think you'll find that a number of Winspearistas are SUFferers as well ... i am ... yes, there is considerable country risk in RSA given recent political developments, but no company on the planet is exempt from the effects of the local pols ... and that includes wsp - we still have to go through all the kissy-face with the environuts and the Indians and the long lines of bureaucrats.

Suf has done very well, considering the attack by DeBeers which all [all] diamond stock investors would do well to notez bien .... the 'spent like a drunken sailor' remark is out of line, imho .... you're not going to fire up another thread war like with abz, are you? .... cheers ..... diversifiedmacros

Teevee Now I've heard it all. Dont even compare these two companies at this point. The Market is facinated with WSP right now because of the possiblitlty for quick gains but I think most of us realize that WSP will not be a 30 or 50 dollar stock ever. In fact Ive been keeping this to myself but a prominent Mining Engineer told me on Monday that he felt that WSP would at best be an poor or unprofitable mine at 180/ton. I think we better hope for a little more value from the next results.
As a note I think that SUF has largely dismissed its intersections of kimberlite at Munn Lake as uneconomic. And they had some at 12m and it is diamondiferous.

Actually I have no position in SUF and I am long WSP, have been since I lived in Yellowknife a few years ago. I am aware of the political risk with SUF, and I tend to shun political risk, I find it just too unpredictable. I suppose all of us on these threads are friends we certainly have a market interest in common. I see Winspear as having little downside risk good upside and a reasonable shot at a large gain. One thing I really like is the liquidity, you can move several hundred thousand in a day with not much effect on the market.

Cheers friend.
