BB, you must be a rather new bear on this board. Bull or Bear is not important, but you must put money where your mouth is! I am long on AOL, I put a lots of money on AOL stock so I am entitled to express my bullish opinion here because I am 'working' for my money. If you are bearish on AOL, and you do have a short position on AOL, then you are entitled to express your bearish opinion because you are 'working' for your money too. There are 2 types of xxxx I dislike most: (1) one that has lost money on AOL in the past and did not own any long or short position of AOL at the moment but couldn't bear the bad feeling and must see other people suffers as he did, so keeps on bad mouth about AOL using bad reasons and logic. (2) one that has nothing to do and a non-believer of the net stocks in general, and using the same TA or logic over and over again on AOL, when AOL is down, this type of people will continue stress there are more of this coming, when AOL is up, this type of people will say, 'oh, pe is too high, must compare with MSFT, GE, MRK', give me a freaking break! We read ANalysts' analyses and listen to CNBC however we dislike them when their opinion is against us but they just doing their job to make market , there are times that they are bullish on AOL and we have benefited from their opinion. Are you type (1) or (2)? or are you an analyst? Have you put money where your mouth is? Give me a freaking break! Compare AOL with APPLE? The reason APPLE lost their shine because they want to keep their software and hardware privately, whereelse IBM and MSFT let the PC industries grow on its own pace and direction, it is the open-access market kills APPLE's market share. AOL always wants open-access, Steve Case decided to acquire Netscape but continuing using MSFT browser is a smart decision, AOL is now has the largest share of both IE and Navigator market! Team-up with SUN to create non-window platform for internet is a smart move too because only multiple resources will stop anyone's threat to stop offering your the 'air and water'. If you do not own AOL (long or short) now but looking for an entry point, please declare that so your opinion can be evaluated in a proper manner by all members.
