Interesting, I wonder who hired the less competent consulting firm.

FWIW, I just bought a digital camera. The Fujifilm MX-2700 and the Olympus C2000 were the only serious contenders (both of which use SmartMedia). If the new Sony DSC-F55 was out a month ago, I might have bought it for the MPEG capture feature, but it uses the so-far proprietary Memory Stick which is more expensive.
