Re your comment: I think a lot of it has to who the sponsors are for the IPO's the no name's get no notice ...whereas the name brand sponsors get more attention.

What you say is valid IMO. Another point may be that the brand name sponsors are underwriting the better companies. Value is always hard to determine but even among IPOs in a hot market, some are a lot better than others and the brand name sponsors may be better able to pick and choose the companies they bring public.

Just a thought.
