Sorry to rain on the parade, but it looks to me to be the classic pump and dump IPO. The only M/M recommending this stock are the other 2 co-underwriters. If it's so hot an issue, why didn't the underwriters exercise their option to pick up the additional 425K shares at $10.50 on June 21, 1999?

At the IPO the Rubio family kept solid contol by only offering 31% of the available shares. Their profit margins, return on equity and return on assets are roughly half of the industry standard and at current prices their shares (PE) are overvalued by about a factor of 6 compared to the industry. While I like the food, where's the value to the shareholder? I would be a buyer at the $7.50 range.
