Scott and Javelin,

Perhaps it is too easy to make a case if you select a source of data favorable to your argument.

I have selected data from the CompactFlash Association. Javelin has selected information from the SmartMedia Card Association. Scott has selected personal recollections from a recent trade show which reflects favorably on IBM.

It has been said...

People often use data like a drunk uses a lamp post, for support rather than illumination.

We can all sit around making our trivial predictions about the future of the portable electronics market. I have been a bit overzealous in recent posts. For this I am apologetic. I still stand behind my contentions. I will confine further discussion to the SanDisk thread.
