Well, I can't speak about the bar charts because I have never really studied bar charts. As for the high pole warning, I find those most useful in the Dow Jones 20 Bond Average and the Advance-Decline indicators. I personally feel that the high pole warnings worked better in the 80's and now often times the high pole is actually just a pullback to good support and a chance to buy the stock at a better price.
