Yup...that's what the Exchange wants out of the Cake, and Eat it too. They want CheckFree to do the grunt work.....pushing paper for them as they do the electronic. That is a no win distribution model if they strip off the cream for CheckFree. So what do you do? Well what they should have done is Brand themselves...daa? Second make it an all or none agreement with banks...consumers want all these fricken bills to be entered and payed via their computer so just say....if we don't do them all...you do them yourself. Triffens survey showed that 90% or so of us still get postal paper presentment...(checkfree is getting a whopping 10k in income off the electronic presentment)...DO NOT SURRENDER CONTROL..of your technology for 10k...move right around them Pete and bend their a$$es over, have your way with them and at the same time make strides into Brandible Internet distribution channels with those player who can not compete directly, do not want to compete and enhance their competitive edge and offer them the package for less then those who could compete...it is war....loss leader the space....thus leveling the playing field...before the playing field levels you...IMO.
