Re: " can't understand why the postes on the DELL thread have such hate for anyone who says anything other than a glowing report on the stock."

Tom "hate" is rather a strong word here. I kind of think of it as passionate confusion among Dell supporter's(?) The stock price has fallen out of bed in the face of good earnings. It seems the "experts" (who get all the air time. Not talking about you here, I understand your only following supply and demand) are lumping it with other companies, which perhaps deserve the bad press, due to an inflectional shift of pc as a result of Y2K. Likewise doesn't seem (so far) that those experts are listening to the few people who should really know, i.e. Michael Dell etc. but we shall see.

Now, I did not get the chance to ask while you were on CNBC but if I had gotten through I would of asked about COMPAQ? Do you hold a professional opinion on buy, sell or hold?

Thank you,

TTOSBT

Tommy Dorsey, I challenge you to state in no uncertain terms on this thread that DELL's stock price will not be at least 20% higher within 12 months than it is now. You know good and well that Dell's stock price will appreciate considerably during the next 12 months. If you think this stock will just stagnate for the next 12 months or depreciate further, then come right out and say so. Don't mince words or give us "doublespeak." State your 12 month target on Dell here so we can document your prediction here and now.

Maybe you'd also care to explain why you feel that the majority of your contemporaries have either "BUY" or "STRONG BUY" ratings on Dell right now while you're apparently attempting to short Dell. Something doesn't seem quite right about what you're attempting to promulgate here.

Supply & Demand
Are you tracking supply & demand for computers, or for Dell stock shares?

mr.dorsey...it is attitude,man..when you buy a car you dont want some know it all mechanic telling you the wheels are gonna come off soon..you buy it with the hope that it is the greatest and will do well..i buy stocks to go up with the same positive attitude..and i prefer not to listen to you so called experts that over analyze things to the point of over killing the forward impetus of my investments...and when you guys speak of reality..you are really speaking of speculative conclusions about the future that may or may not come to pass...i am a positive thinker ...you are not..
