I amazed that you are still on this issue which I might add is akin to being in the faces of the hometown fans just as the hometown ball club has lost. People have been done in for lesser acts. But i realize you are enjoying this and can't let go of it.

Not to ruin your fun, but has it not occurred to you that engels, with his former connections to intc, may well have known the extent of the price war being waged by intc? For me the earliest I heard there was heavy discounting by intc was two weeks ago. But if i had known that since the beginning of the quarter, intc was offering steep discounts on its low end chips and chipsets, and gaining business share from some of AMD's former tier 2 and 3 customers as well as knowing that cyrix was dumping its chips, it would not have been a big leap to figure out that there would be a surplus of chips somewhere.

But like I said earlier, the big deal is not who disclosed it first but rather the short/long term implications for both companies.
