Here is the FCC statement by commissioner Mike Powell(General Powell' son). fcc.gov After reading this, I feel ATHM will be an eventual winner in the cable internet industry. No matter what local governments may impose, FCC is still the guiding power. If the local guys get out of hand, FCC will be forced to step in and de-regulate everything they regulate. Fortunately our central government still have the "judicious intelligence" that local people don't have. I think the real threat to ATHM is not from the regulatory front, but from the ADSL, satellite front.
