OT -- True, especially about AMD. I was going to write a piece for how lousy AMD really is, but I'm too busy these days. I disagree strongly about CPQ and moderately about COMS. I've made a note to myself to watch CPQ every 2~4 months for signs of internal improvements. Once (if?) CPQ manages to digest all its acquisitions and streamline their operations, they will surpass DELL. Especially if they get it right within the next 3 quarters. The key is the synergies between Tandem's technology and Compaq's sales and infrastructure. Too bad they are too busy digesting DEC to pay attention to Tandem. Not that DEC will not be an important part in the future, but they should have gotten Tandem right before moving on to DEC.

BTW, COMS is busy transforming itself. There is not as much potential there as there is with CPQ and they don't have a innovative spirit. But there is room for upside surprise in about two quarters.
