I have traded at both MBT and Datek, and honestly, there is NO COMPARISON. MBT blows them away!! Vastly better order routing/ECN options, better software, a whole different level/class of customer service... it's really a sin to compare them directly. They're different animals. No affiliation, just MHO.

Datek/MBT

Apples and oranges...still, they're fruit...

depends on your needs and trading habits. Personally, I find myslf drifting further away from daytrading to position, with less frequency of trades at MBT...however, RT3 is a tool which I utilize before, during, and after trading hours...

Datek, excellent fills...and even going thru the menus to twice verify on password or utilizing express server, still get faster/better fills than MBT...again, this is my experience...

but that's about the only advantage to Datek other than the price of trade is half of MBT, and could be an important consideration to some..

MBT's service is outstanding, pre/post market trades...accounting can be quite challnging at first...

both have their up/down days...Datek with more frequency as of late, although MBT had challenges earlier in the year...

IMO, best to have several accounts...
