Compaq, because they don't know much about evaluating merger partners, IMHO.

How about DELL? They've got the market cap to get something cheap, plus some really good engineering talent. The product lines have little overlap. In addition Dell might be able to fix the execution problems SGI ran into now and then.

Now if they could figure out how to sell these CRAY direct..
