First of all the impeachment was about PERJURY, not bjs. Perjury is a crime and Bubba violated his oath of office and disgraced an office he is clearly not fit to hold. Neal Bush was a director of Silverado Savings in Colo. He was investigated as were all the members of the Board of Directors of Silverado. It might interest you to know that all Boards of Directors of ALL failed institutions are the subject of an investigation by the regulators when a bank has failed. As I recall in this instance the matter was investigated and no charges were preferred. In most instances what such investigations turn up is evidence of greed and stupidity, but not fraud. I have no doubt that that's exactly what happened in this instance. JLA

Re: laws

I do believe I am in agreement of most, if not all that you said in your post. The ignoring of laws is far too rampant, among people of all parties and all walks of life, for the good of the country. To try and list all of those of political influence who have broken the law would be a volume of humongous magnitude.

I really don't think either of us should make any suppositions about what is being said around JEB's dinner table. Even if he doesn't think of it as a moral thing, he is surely upset about the embarassment. Of course, she didn't have to do what she did and was a fool to do so. I don't think it has anything to do with their financial status. It was just a bonehead move.

The point I am in most agreement with you on, is the lack of the average citizen to think and act for themselves. Too many of them behave like sheep and follow the "bell ewe". I don't have any answers or solutions for the lack of individual independence.
