Gersh:

here is the WSJ-Interactive data.

For NYSE:

(1259/1760)/(304,346/392,054)
=(.71534/.77628)
=.92149
=.92

For Nasdaq

(1741//1973)/(534219/388036)
=.88241/1.37672
=.64095
=.64

I also checked the DBC data from CBS Marketwatch. Their figures are almost identical with those of Yahoo. They differ by less than a hundred issues in volume. So there is no difference there. Using their symbols, the calculation would be

For the NYSE:

($ADV/$DECL)/($UVOL/$DVOL)
=$TRIN

For the Nasdaq:

($ADVQ/$DECLQ)/($UVOLQ/$DVOLQ)
=$TRINQ

I did not check the Quote.com figures because I am currently behind a firewall and the firewall finds quotecom to be disagreeable.
