DOE suggests Greg is wrong. While there was a 41 thousand Bbl change to the SPR last week according to DOE, totals did not change (due to accuracy only going to the hundred thousand barrel level). I would trust DOE SPR level numbers over API numbers (DOE reporting is mandatory and SPR is under control of DOE). Both DOE and API say crude stocks went down last week, so Gary's post contradicts both reports.
