Thanks and Kudos to our Brave Soldiers! This action in Kosovo with the military alliances forged under the NATO umbrella looks to be turning out for the best, overall (keeping my fingers crossed). As the atrocities come to light now it sure does look like putting that to a halt was the right thing to do and the way it had to be done was the only way to stop it. As a person it bothers me mightily to know how lucky I am 2B who and where I am.
"There but for The Grace Of God Go I" seeing photos of mass graves, refugee camps, & the pictures drawn by schoolchildren of people all red with blood getting their heads blown off in front of houses drawn the same way in crayon that our children drew them except for the house has a face and the windows are screaming. It seems the choice, to let this go on or make it worse for a shorter time Risking All to try to stop it earlier - is turning out to be the right one. Clinton takes the credit/blame for these decisions but part of the reason for his famous luck Must be that his legion of nameless advisors are excellent people, for his tenure of the Office to be so charmed as it's been with things going right despite looking like it's so at risk for going wrong time after time. Our Brave Young Soldiers, many of whom joined the military as the only way to get a college education not wanting or expecting to see battle action....these men and women of the Generation a.k.a. "X" have done a wonderful job defending our way of life and the land we call Home. Maybe Milosevic COULD have become like Hitler if not stopped....possible. I'm happy about the idea of a War Criminal Warrant Out for a Head Of State....why should he and his followers be
treated any differently than any other mass murderers would be in a civilized country? That'll probably be shelved, betcha, as the issues of that country cool down under NATO supervision. But I do hope it's seen as A Shot Fired Across The Bow to other bloodthirsty dictators who foment massacres on their ground. As it'd be logical to surmise that next logical move after finishing their dirty work on their own property would be to invade past their borders...glad these events were stopped in their progression and hope the rewards of the cooperation of the forces of different countries will be in diplomatic relationships from the alliances. Hope For The Future.
Congratulations and Thanks to Our Brave Young Men and Women In The Military. Showed THEM Who WE Are!!
909s Peace,
Joan
