I found your post about Sony's HiFUD interesting, especially the part where they give the oem market to Iomega.

Keep up the good work Rock.

"Sony probably had more of a chance here than Imation. HiFD is more capacious and faster than LS-120, and Sony has a long history of supply standard floppy drives. However, Imation's lack of success in signing up PC OEMs suggests that Sony wouldn't have much luck here, either -- Zip is simply too well entrenched. "

All -

And speaking of HiFD, I noticed that it was not present at all in the entire Sony booth at PC Expo. The only HiFD drives present at the expo were some mockup units at the TEAC booth. I asked the man there if the HiFD was shipping yet, and he said, "No. They're saying October now, but I don't think it's going to happen. It's too bad, too. I'd love to give Iomega a run for their money."
