Chris,

Nice analysis of the Rio press release.

If I were managing the announcements coming from e.Digital and I had more than one consumer electronics brand that I had a contact to produce for, I definitely would not let my first press release be co-opted by Diamond.

Rather, the first announcement should be with the biggest name and that should be followed (after a respectable pause) by the next biggest name. Any prior announcement involving Rio would be in the "me too" category and would diminish the impact of any relationships that e.Digital may be about to unveil.

My guess (based upon their prior relationships and the frequency of usage in e.Digital press releases) would be that Philips may be one such brand, and of course we all hope that Sony is another.

Jim

Well, as I have posted the details before, DIMD and LU are working together on a player. What is the probability that EPAC could work in a Rio without e.Digital inside? My guess is zero.

OT: I think EDIG & LU are collective busting their asses to convert over to the new watermarking standard.
