IF the rumor proves true, that would be a sad day for DIMD. The whole idea of RIO is to put the power back in the hand of the consumer. If Sony bought DIMD, the consumer would lose and the record industry would win. It might mean a boost in stock price for DIMD but I'd still hate to see it happen. How about this idea, DIMD rejects both offers and the stock price skyrockets on renewed optimism from investors?
