Michael, the problem with looking at the "consensus" is that those numbers include a bunch of stale estimates made at the beginning of the quarter when DRAM was much higher. If you look only at estimates made in the last month or two the consensus was much closer to -$.07. Thus they did miss by a few cents, but that was hardly a disaster.

Michael, I see MU as it truly is, a very well run business in a very tough business, and a wonderful trading vessel. I think you want to see MU as an empty cup, when it is certainly not empty. If MU had as little to offer as you seem to believe, they would have been out of business years ago, but the fact is that they are not out now, and are not likely to be out in the near future. So give them some credit once in awhile. Their competition certainly does. And you can be sure that Kobe Steel is much happier with results partnering with MU than they were partnering with TI.
