Welcome to the thread, Allen. I've seen your posts on the csco and qcom threads, and know that you'll make some fine contributions. Gorilla Game terminology is pretty esoteric, but if you check out the links we've provided in the thread's header (message 0), you'll get enough to the rudiments to get you by until you rtfm <g>.

Hi allen,

I've been an investor in L3 since early this year, and though it has not been the best performing stock I own, I consider it the most solid organization that I have invested in. Jim Crowe has all the characteristics that you want in a CEO. Walter Cooke as Chairman means you have 60 years of progressively more sophisticated and profitable history available at the fingertips of those in L3 who need to know how to build infrastucture. (You are of course familiar with PKS, yes?)
The staff is largely compensated by stock options which kick in as LVLTs stock appreciates at a greater rate than the S&P500 Index. Talk about a motivator.
Walter Cooke's office is a coupla floors above Warren Buffet's back in Omaha. They lunch together.

LVLT has $4.7B in the bank.

I could go on but I would only bore you.

The only downside, and the reason the stock has been languishing of late is that positive cash flow is not likely before '02 or '03.

LVLT a Gorilla? I'm not too sure about that. I'm toying with, perhaps, (he blushes), more of a King Kong metaphor.....

Over the top and out, Ry
