Rande, for the floorless bandits to succeed in laying out their 350,000 shares short position, they need a little "enthusiasm", that is what you see, IMHO.

UOLP--These convertibles also involve a lot of exposure to the investment community. They have to sell the debt and in the process, there are a lot of road shows etc. The stock often gets propelled in the short term by all of this exposure only to be turned around by the arbitrage...
