C'mon, it's easy: the Protestant Elizabeth was offering herself to the English people in place of the Catholic's beloved Virgin Mary. Elizabeth was known as what? The Virgin Queen. Protestants reject any special role for the Virgin Mary.

The advisor was something like Wolfingham, Wollingford, whatever.
