I would be the first to agree that the justice system (trials) has been abused by trial lawyers, especially PI (personal injury) lawyers. I work mainly in the commercial transaction area of the law and I rarely get into court. However, the trouble with reining in some of the abuses is that it is tough to find a way to do it without limiting access in a way such as to not discourage meritorious claims. It is a tough problem. There's too much greed among members of the bar nowadays. No one can argue that point. JLA
