DaveMG, One advantage of Europe's additional spectrum, is the ability to run two systems concurrently. Believe it or not, this a tried and trued procedure that the FAA (my old employer ) uses to assure safety and uninterrupted service while the bugs are worked out of the new system(s). This of course also will allow GSM folks to get every last calorie our of their GSM / TOAST --before their legacy GSM systems turn to charcoal. (After all, only a limited number of users will have an immediate need for 3G capabilities.) Best, Mardy.
