shortsighted. This first generation of G* birds is meant to build a broadbase of telephony users to
whom more advanced services will be offered with G* second/third generation. The next constellation
is currently in development and will be deployed in the 2002/2003 timeframe. It will be a robust system
with plenty of bandwidth to handle internet traffic and streaming video. G* will become the carrier of
choice to provide the data feeds to handheld wireless devices like 3COM's PalmPilot.

Another point you may wish to consider is once G* becomes established they will have a near
monopoly in wireless data/telephony transmissions due the high barriers for entry into the field and
limited premium slots to park birds. Anyone can lay cable, but as we all know, not everyone can create
a space-based communications network. Those who can shall be richly rewarded.

Have a nice day.
