Re:"Nothing the attorney's like better than fame."

You are making exactly the point that I was making. By and large, the ticket to $1,000,000+ annual compensation (+ bonus) for those guys is to nail a big kahuna, become semi-famous and move on to a heavy-hitter law firm. That's why they will stop at virtually NOTHING to catch a CEO. NOTHING. Regardless of the party in power. The original writer on this topic suggested that getting Republicans into the White House would stop the harassment of the high tech industry. Baloney. Stopping these guys from prosecuting high profile companies would take several well placed nuclear weapons, regardless of the nominal party of the head of state.

"It doesn't matter who the President or Attorney General is, the DOJ ATDiv hires kids out of school and lets them play around. Nobody wants a career in DOJ, they want a scalp and to become a partner in some big ATFirm and bill $500 bucks an hour. New lawyers were (are?) GS-9's. A mere pittance -- working for DOJ an investment in making yourself a real pain in the ass."

I think we are saying exactly the same thing.
