Dale,

That block of 50,000 WEIR at 3/4 is 'behind the scenes' trading and no cause for concern. I'm loaded up, but agree that the ask is good.

GSTRF extremely strong today. The run during lunch hour was/is very bullish IMO.

Mike

AAAARRRGGG!!!

As for picks--heck--I can't even find the rhythm on my old standby NITE so I'm still sitting on the sidelines. I could be wrong but I have a feeling that even blowout earnings may not be enough to lift brokers and their backbones (Sorry. I really didn't mean that). The market may be looking toward the later part of the year where the combo. of higher threatened interest rates and the Y2K scare may result in a trading slowdown.

It's in a way analogous to what happened to NMGC--another Rodney Dangerfield. It had continued great growth and earnings with little reward until the repeated warnings that it couldn't last finally--inevitably--came true. With the brokers though, investors HAVE made a lot of money (and recent buyers have LOST a lot of money, and they might not mind taking some off the table. JMO of course.

P.S. As to your ??? re. picks. A coworker just retired on his VISX gains. His strategy was to buy the longest out of the money options he could. They kept expiring worthless, but he kept buying. His persistence was richly rewarded. If you look at VISX's chart, you know what happened over the past year. Anyway, he still likes VISX, but what is really exciting him now is DSPG. I've done a little DD, and to my way of thinking, DSPG is more of a long term play. I'd sure like Webdrone's or someone else's opinion as to the technical aspects. A corollary play is AUDC--just spun off of DSPG. Wish I had looked at that a little earlier, if only for the short term. I'm really in that "When in doubt..." funk right now.
