Paul,

Re:" AMD will probably lose another $120,000,000."

Thats not too far off from my worst case scenario:

4M K6 at $55 ASP = $220M
300K K7 at $300 ASP=$90M
Rest of biz=$330M

Total= 640M

SO worst case loss assuming 780M breakeven would be $140M IMHO.

Best case they might halve the loss to $70M.

Regards,

Kash.

Re: "If it isn't - and I'm fairly certain it won't be - AMD management will be suddenly surprised and will shock us all again with a tale of disaster and defeat at the Hands of "Intel The Barbarian"."

Paul, if your previously stated reason for holding AMD was the prospect of a runup on K7 hype, shouldn't you be unloading now that the announcement has come and gone? What's your logic for continuing to hold your stock now, especially if you think the K7 will bomb?

Kevin
