I've heard about 100%-125% mortgages and have seen a few ads on TV.

Do you have any idea how widespread the practice is?

Ben, Here in Houston when energy hit the skids in the mid-80s, we had entire sub-divisions abandoned by "owners." And, of course, see-through office buildings were very chic. <g>
