He covers that base well, as he calls for a mix between FA and TA. ;-)

I don't follow him that closely, but Ms. X (Jan) and Jorj do keep an eye on him, and a investment manager that is a family friend who works in Boca Raton, has used his stuff with success.

I'll see if Jorj has any comments.

Michelle,
Dorsey doesn't usually make calls on stocks on SI. Some of his picks on CNBC were big hits, some didn't move much at all or moved down during a market correction. For specific examples about successful P&F calls I would point you to the P&F thread dating to about 5 days before the crash last August and then again about 5 days before it recovered in October.

P&F has been negative on DELL since last February. I don't know when Dorsey first made a public statement though.

Another significant point, he mostly uses P&F for entry into investments rather than short term moves. Many patterns for long entry in a stock may take 4-6 months to complete so a 3pt move in the other direction would pretty much be ignored as far as its significance.

What are the examples of the enterprise software misses?
