Re Credit expansion:

That's how the property and banking sectors crashed in the late 80s
in Sweden. The banks tried to throw money at you.
It ended with the Government stepping in to take over some large
banks and issuing a loan guarantee.

In the end, the little guy had to pay the bill, as usual!

History repeats itself!
