Thanks for that technologyguy. I must admit I'm not quite sure what role Etzioni plays in the gnet organization. NN first asked if Etzioni was better than Wetherall. I see Wetherall/CMGI as a venture capitalist primarily, so I compare him to Allen or other VC firms. RIght now my favorites are Kleiner and Vulcan because I think those 2 firms really know how to acquire companies where the whole is worth more than the sum of the parts. Kleiner is combining all their retail in Amazon and its working, of course we know what Allen is doing. Wetherall doesn't do that, he just invests in companies and takes them public... some entities like Silknet don't really benefit at all from being a CMGI property. Its almost like CMGI was "dumb money" for them... of course they are ok for now in this frothy market but for how long? I am also suspicious of cmgi offering their ipo shares to their current shareholders, I think there is more to that than just a pr move.

I surely agree Technologyguy!

"GNET got great technology in metacrawler and a great mind in Etzioni."

What an understatement!! MetaCrawler is just simply amazing! And I feel sure that with Mr. Etzioni on board it will just get better and better.... Don't know how many of you longs have really used it, but once you do, you'll see....and you will tell everyone you know about it, I feel sure....and the "eyeball stickiness" will stay, and multiply, with GNET!
