I like the idea that Iomega's new Zip-CD will complement Iomega's existing 100-Mbyte Zip floppy instead of replacing it. ===================================================================== Because the compact disc is so firmly a part of consumer life, Zip-drive maker Iomega this week will enter the market with the ZipCD, its first CD-RW product, through a partnership with Philips Electronics NV. The ZipCD, a 4X-write/rewrite and 24X-read drive, is designed to complement Iomega's existing 100-Mbyte Zip floppy drive, said Jon Robison, worldwide director of product management and marketing for Iomega's optical business in Longmont, Colo.
