ECI has Two or four lines over twisted pair with 56K modem.

Single pair carrier solutions

ECI Telecom has launched two Single Pair Carrier (SPC) solutions that enable network service providers to offer their subscribers multiple phone lines which fully support V.90 modems over existing copper infrastructure.

The SPC pair gain solutions immediately increase the capacity of existing copper plant, eliminating the need for new copper wiring, special equipment and additional staff training.

The system multiplexes two or four telephone lines onto a single non-loaded cable pair, doubling or quadrupling the capacity of the existing twisted pair.

Before now, network service providers using loop electronics equipment to provide additional lines faced a technical challenge when serving customers with 56kbps modems. This led to a lot of customer complaints and an increase in service costs for the Network Service Provider. ECI is the first pair gain equipment vendor to introduce this kind of solution for 56kbps modems.

The SPC system consists of shelves of Central Office Terminals that can be mounted on standard racks in the central office, and a family of Remote Terminals that can be located near or at the subscriber premises.

With ECI's installed base of equipment, Network Service Providers can simply upgrade from one ECI product to another, save money and get their product to market quicker.
