This thread owes you some gratitude, G. Your post today was important. Let me explain why. For the last month, I've been calling MLSM about once a week to follow their progress. First I would call the Toronto office and then the North Bay office. In all cases they were very open discussing their plans for the Potter property. I learned that extensive linecutting was underway and that Quantec were doing extensive geophysics over the entire property. I learned that new anomalies had been discovered and there was a genuine sense of urgency and excitement about the project. They disclosed that two heavy drills had been brought in (about 3 weeks ago now) and a third lighter unit was to come. Then I heard the lighter unit would be delayed as geophysical surveys were still underway. That made sense. I also heard that drilling was delayed because arrangements regarding operating procedures within the LP were yet to be thrashed out. However, both offices assured me everything was on track. Everything sounded right. It made sense. Last Monday things changed. Firstly I heard from sources I regard highly that drilling had in fact started. However, MLSM people for the first time danced around the subject. Toronto office said they could not "officially state" drilling had started. North Bay said they were working in the "best interests of shareholders" etc, but neither would give any specific details or confirm drilling. I talked with others who had been in contact with I.R. They got the same line I did - almost word for word like a canned speech. Frankly, I became worried. I started to wonder if the LP was in jeopardy. Yet I was hearing that drilling had started. It was a weird situation. Your eyeball account clears the air. Your details about line cutting, drill placement and the water pump are all consistent with previous info. It confirms what I've been hearing. For whatever reason, MLSM is apparently choosing to keep their drilling quiet.... but drilling they are. If they are proceeding as planned, they are drilling off a wedge in an existing hole. If what I've heard is correct, they've been drilling for several days. Drilling out from a wedge, they probably do not have a long distance to go to reach their targets. In otherwords, they could be getting into an area of visual returns at any time. From this point on we all need to watch MLSM like a hawk. If you are a shareholder like me, I suggest phoning their offices tomorrow morning. The Toronto Number is 416-368-9595.
